You know what I love about being a children's photographer?
Kiddos wear their heart on their sleeve,
they always give you their true emotion.
My photog "style" would be defined as casual and real.
I'm out to capture clients right where they are.
show personality,
relationships, FUN, and the love of a family.

I want authenticity
 to shine through the images...
{those moments we hope to remember}

I was so happy this mom & dad felt the same way.  Both of them were so laidback, so easy to work with...even if their beautiful girls weren't "into" a photo session at every moment :)
How adorable are these twin babes?
They'd travelled many miles, were way off schedule...and they still managed to pull off a beautiful portrait session.
This is one precious family
and I love to see how much they enjoy their girls...

See what I mean?
What lucky 'lil sweeties.
Children are a handful sometimes, A heart.full all the time...

A first for one of my sessions!
....
I actually have to tell a child to stop smiling...?...

Let me explain.
First, she's a photographer's dream.
Miss K. is an absolute doll, smiling-posing-laughing at every turn.
Oh yeah, she's experienced in this field of photography :)

of course- Miss K. is gorgeous smiling.
But I knew her mommy had many, many photos of the big adorable grins.
I wanted to capture another side of Miss K.
Because as pretty as she is with her smile,
she's just as stunning with her more pensive expression.

Of course, we captured tons of laughs,
but there's just something about these more serious faces
(that I caught while she thought I was "fixing" my camera!)

What a loved, cherished, fabulous little girl.
Blessed with love beyond measure and spending her 5th birthday in disneyland this month!
Have a blast, Miss K. with your family :)
I know you will.

Where there is great love, there are always Miracles. -Willa Cather

I still have people ask how this 'lil precious miracle of a baby is doing (after her session photos were shown last year) on my website.

Born at just over one pound, it's clear that Miss K is a walking (and talking!) miracle.
I almost cried as I watched her run towards me giggling!
What an incredible family.
With an amazing story.
And strength {love} that inspires.

WHILE WE TRY TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN ABOUT LIFE, OUR CHILDREN TEACH US WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.

You are loved Miss K!

The backdrops and weather was beautiful...
 and so was this family!
Miss S. and her baby bro made me laugh, kept me entertained, and had an energy that I LOVE to capture in my portraits!

Such a fun familia!
I wish I could have captured the priceless sound of the giggles coming from these two kiddos :)

I really laughed when I uploaded the  photo below.  'Lil S. is such a ham and I think this portrait just nailed her adorable  pErSoNaliTy!

Prepare for some eye candy!
We had family heirlooms incorporated all over the place into this session.
mom's vintage dress.
grandpa's '57 pickup.
dad's mason jars.
even the tricycle was an antique.
I loved the thought put into this session.

momma's shoes.
this photo is a fave, for so many reasons.
These little girls are just dolls.
I was wanting to take 'lil miss A home :)
So much fun, this family.

The county fairgrounds proved to be the perfect backdrop for our retro session.
This looks like a summer greeting card to me!
