'11 Senior Portraiture | Eastern Montana

Some look at this guy and see a star football player.
I see a little blonde haired, blue eyed toddler that
 I used to chase after as a high schooler.
Yep that was my "job" as a teen (but truth be known, I'd have babysit for free).
Some see the high school president.
I see a 'lil boy who {along with his big bro}
kept me laughing, pulling out my hair, and running in circles.

Sometimes all in the same moment :)

And so before I get too sentimental and mushy about this "little boy" {who now towers over his babysitter}, I'll just say that he and his family are still among some of my favorite people-after all these years (no let's not count how many it's been).

I was beyond thrilled to be asked to do C's senior photography.
We found locations hidden in and around Baker, MT.
{I bet you'll never find them} !

Besides being a super cool kid, C is also a pretty amazing photographer whose editing skills and knowledge inspire me to start plugging away at my photography classes.
Did I mention he's smitten with a lovely lady?
Who undeniably feels the same.
Yes, I did remind him that I was still the babysitter, behind the camera.
No more goo goo eyes, you two.
j/k

Thanks for the awesome day of laughter, running around, and fun.

Some things never change and I'm thankful for it.

look closely.
is this not the epitome of siblings' relationships?
LOVE to have captured it in one shot- that'd be a canvas in my house :)

And for the record, these adorable kiddos asked to run and skip together.
No posing needed !

I love that they both wanted in on a photo with their beautiful momma.
fun kiddos+ fun parents= fun session!

The M. Cousins | Eastern Montana Portraiture

What does
37 bug bites
one old, abandoned "haunted" house

-->5 cousins
teetering between
hysterical laughter {and} pure terror
-->4 ticks crawling on us
-->1 lost camera bag
-->1 mysterious animal hissing from a closet

annnnd one flat tire {on a long stretch of two-lane black top}
all have in common?
THIS
photo shoot!

It won't evah be forgotten, that is for certain :)
We had a memorable, fun afternoon with these five adorable girls!
And in case you're wondering if the session was worth it
-after the extravaganza of misfortunes surrounding our afternoon-
....YeSsS!
I see some wrapped canvases and wall art in the near future!

There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again.

  meet 'lil Miss P.
I could've eaten her with a spoon.
She is DeLiSh!
{gorgeous. fun. loved}
With a personality to match.
I love to capture -the relationship -
laughter, sideway glances, the play.

I believe this is what we'll hope to have documented.

The K. family | Eastern Montana

I loved the personalities and energy captured with this familia!
Big sis had a firecracker personality and
those have always been my favorite to photograph!

She is an absolute doll.
'lil bro was a bit more hesitant about the whole photo session-
but I knew his gorgeous brown eyes and adorable face would make this shoot a breeze (huge smiles or not!)

 I had trouble choosing which photos to post for the sneak peek,
we had so much fun during this session!
We captured a lot of laughter and I love how much fun this family has together.

Their son is 13 and it was awesome to see how well he did, enjoying the session and cooperating so well (remember how fun family photos were when you were 13?)...
and the 'lil miss?
 She had me laughing from the word GO!
Smiling, turning her head just so
and overall making the entire photo shoot a breeze :)
 isn't she gorgeous?!
These are my favorite shots, the ones caught behind my lens
when no one one thinks the shutter is snapping.
We caught a handful of these precious moments and I always consider that a success!
